The device default — Apple Maps on iPhone, Google Maps on most Android phones. The geo format is understood by both.

Why use coordinates instead of an address?

Addresses resolve to the middle of a building or a street segment. Coordinates put the pin exactly where you need people to arrive, which matters for entrances, gates and sites with no number.

How precise should the coordinates be?

Five decimal places is about one metre — more than enough. Six or more adds length to the code without any practical gain.
